How to Find the Right QB For Your Team in the NFL Draft 2025

The first round of the NFL draft is in the books, and fantasy owners have their hands full with plenty to sift through. There’s a large tier of wide receivers to snag, and a handful of impact running backs with upside, too. But it’s also important to find the right quarterback for your team, and that will be harder than ever this season.

The top tier of quarterbacks will be hard to snag on draft day, and that’s because the group is so small. Last year, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts and Jayden Daniels finished among the top six QBs in fantasy scoring per game, but the drop-off is notable after that elite group.

For those that can’t land one of those four, there are a few intriguing options on this tier’s fringe. Xavier Worthy and Brock Bowers could thrive in a new offensive scheme, while Jameis Winston, Baker Mayfield and Johnny Manziel are all vying for starting jobs.

At the other end of the spectrum, Tyreek Hill is a post-hype target who appears set to bust at age 31. He’s not alone, as several 2024 top-10 WRs are facing injury concerns and/or questions about their offense. This could make it the year to snag a low-risk player like Davante Adams or Byron Coleman, who is expected to battle Joshua Palmer for Josh Allen’s top perimeter targets in Houston. His big-play ability and 7.7 yards after catch average are enticing.
