Game 1 of the 2024 World Series was a tense, back-and-forth affair that went into extra innings before Freddie Freeman delivered what would become one of the most famous home runs in Series history. It was the first walk-off grand slam in Series history and only the second in postseason history.
After Jack Flaherty shut down the Yankees in Game 2, they jumped out to an early lead in Game 5. However, the Dodgers rallied back with two runs in the eighth inning off of Yankee relievers Tommy Kahnle and Brent Honeywell.
